Systems pharmacology is one of the main research directions of the lab. It seeks to incorporate two complimentary views of pharmacology: the target based approach, the dominant paradigm for perhaps that last quarter century, and a whole organism or systems approach, which was dominant up until the late 1980s and has been re-emerging the last five to ten years or so with a growing awareness of polypharmacology.
Some of our tools and resources are as follows:
- SEA
- Cheminformatics
- ZINC - a resource for systems pharmacology research and ligand discovery
- Contract Research Organizations to get predictions tested.
