Systems pharmacology is one of the main research directions of the lab. It seeks to reconcile two views of pharmacology: the target based approach, the dominant paradigm for perhaps that last quarter century, and a whole organism or systems approach, which was dominant before the late 1980s and has been re-emerging the last five years or so with a growing awareness of polypharmacology.
Some of our tools and resources are as follows:
- SEA.
- Cheminformatics
- ZINC can also be a useful research tool in this area.
