HOW TO INSTALL ACROREAD on Linux
Download and save the rpm from the adobe website here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ Move the rpm file to /etc/yum.repos.d/
Then yum install all of these:
PackageKit-gtk-module-0.5.8-21.el6.i686 libcanberra-gtk2-0.22-1.el6.centos.i686 atk-1.28.0-2.el6.i686 fontconfig-2.8.0-3.el6.i686 gtk2-2.18.9-12.el6.i686 libidn-1.18-2.el6.i686 libxml2-2.7.6-12.el6_4.1.i686 libXt-1.1.3-1.el6.i686 nspluginwrapper.i686 gtk2-engines.i686 libcanberra-gtk2.i686 nscd
Then
cd /etc/yum.repos.d
yum install AdbeRdr9.5.5-1_i486linux_enu.rpm
service nscd start
Then type acroread on the command line and you should be good to go.
