The postgres tables need to be periodically vacuumed:
echo "vacuum full; " | psql -Upostgres otrs
on mon.compio.ucsf.edu.
This will be run from user postgres crontab at mightnight on Saturday nights.
If it has not run in a long time it may take quite a while to complete.
