If you dont specify ide0=noprobe ide1=noprobe at boot, the IDE PIO drivers will take over the disks, and the sata drivers wont see it. Hence you are limited to PIOish speeds, which I benchmarked at 2.2MB/sec for linear writes across an md raid-1. Sux. | |||

Heres something really annoying with fc6, and the dl140 g2: If you dont specify ide0=noprobe ide1=noprobe at boot, the IDE PIO drivers will take over the disks, and the sata drivers wont see it. Hence you are limited to PIOish speeds, which I benchmarked at 2.2MB/sec for linear writes across an md raid-1. Sux.
