The Human Metabolome Database (HMDB) is a freely available electronic database containing detailed information about small molecule metabolites found in the human body.

We love HMDB and Drugbank and all other great work originating in the Wishart lab at the University of Alberta and now at The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC).

HMDB is available at [www.hmdb.ca/.

Someone should give Wishart an award, because he has moved the field of cheminformatics and drug discovery significantly with HMDB.
