Writing Guidance
We rely heavily on wiki category tags to group and organize articles. The wiki works best when each article has a single focus. Separate topics and sub-topics should be broken out into separate articles.
There are two ways to group articles:
- category tags Special:Categories
- portals
For software, we write three kinds of article:
- Theory : concepts and ideas behind the program
- Manuals : description of the program
- Tutorials : step by step instructions
