I followed this link https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-install-tomcat-9-on-centos-7/ to install TomCat on n-1-136. Since I used the sudo useradd -m -U -d /opt/tomcat -s /bin/false tomcat<br /> so when you do su - tomcat it doesn&#039;t actually open a shell. On n-9-22 (which is Centos 6.10) the tomcat user has a normal shell. I&#039;m not sure what the reason for doing it this way is, but I got it from that link.</div>
