I am a new graduate student in the PSPG doctoral training program at UCSF. I obtained my undergraduate degree in chemistry from Saint Mary's College of California. After this, I worked for 1 year doing chemical analysis in the nutraceutical industry before matriculating into the NIH PREP at Case Western Reserve. At Case, I researched the biosynthesis of complex secondary metabolites from a marine actinomycete that had potential anticancer uses. Scientifically, I am very interested in molecular recognition and protein protein as well as protein ligand interactions. Outside of the lab, I enjoy rock climbing, hanging out with my bothers, playing basketball, and grilling with friends and family.
