My name is Mohamed, and I am currently a visiting research graduate student @ the Shoichet lab, staying for 6 months. In my PhD I work in silico with different orphan G protein-coupled receptors (oGPCRs). Using cheminformatics strategies and advanced molecular modelling tools, one of my main objectives is to identify tool compounds for a number of orphan targets. This will help in understanding the biological importance of those proteins, and ultimately solving a missing piece of the puzzle in our physiology.
