To activate the virtualenv
$ source <name_of_venv>/bin/activate

To deactivate:
$ deactivate

2. Install JupyterNotebook and others important pacakages inside the activated virtualenv

(venv) $ pip install --upgrade pip setuptools

Common data analysis python packages:
(venv) $ pip install pandas
